We are a family of 5 who live in Washington. We love to travel, ski, snow board, golf, cook, and run in cross country. My husband and I have been married for 20 years and we have 3 biological sons that we adore. We are happy to be parents for a 4th time and consider it all joy when we look at everything we have had to go through in order to adopt Chaeli from China. To God be the glory!

  1. Dan & Sheila, You have a beautiful family. The boys are getting so big. And now your little girl will have three big brothers to watch over her. I was one of them lucky little girls cause I had four brothers and a sister. Ain’t nothing like having a big brother to talk too.
    Love you all, Aunt Sunday

  3. Dear Sweet smelling sistah and Danny, we are all so happy for your family and can’t wait to hold our new our new beautiful neice! I am overwhelmed with emotion reading and watching the videos of little chaeli. The boys are doing great, no problems at all. They had a great Christmas eve and Christmas morning with us too!! I feel very blessed to of had this one on one time with my wonderful nephew’s, and the boys have enjoyed all the game playing with their cousins! Can’t wait to see you next week when you all return home. I will be there with open arms, and you do know I am going to be stealing her from you the minute I see her! We hope the rest of your time in China will be filled with great memories that you will be able to share with Chaeli forever. Love to all of you, your sistah Christine, Dean, Taylor, blake and Payton, and your loving sons Chase and Carsten.

The pictures are wonderful and Chaeli is sooo gorgeous! I’m in Port Townsend now I will get to see George Nancy and Buddy sometimes during this month, I was wondering if I can hold your daughter for a few minutes one of these days…but I understand if you are busy…I will come back in August just in case we can’t make it this time!

Well…that’s it for now, just wanted to let you know that I’m really happy for you!

  6. I just stumbled upon your blog today because I was looking for Rita Springer videos. Your tag on Rita Springer brought up your site. What an awesome blog! How is your little daughter doing now? Please post more pictures of her as she grows. God bless your family and give you many wonderful memories.

  7. hello!
I stumbled on your site recently while doing homework, and I just wanted to say how inspired, and how touched the story of your adoption made me feel.
I could feel the love you had for Chaeli, and the wonderful work you had done as parents to her. =)
I agree that in many parts of the world, children are not as fortunate as we are. Reading your posts made me consider adoption too in the future. (This is coming from a 16 year old girl xD)
Being an IB student, we are expected to reach out and help others. Your site has been an amazing inspiration for me. =)
Thank you. =) Please continue posting photos in the future.
    With Love, Annie.

  8. I stumbled upon this site somehow, being Chinese myself, this touches me very deeply. (I, like the poster above me, am an IB student who wants to adopt in the future, funny enough.)

I congratulate you because you truly have a beautiful gift–Chaeli is so precious (I must admit that I have grown quite attached to her simply by viewing these pictures). I thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving her as you do.

    God bless.
